Booking Terms

Last updated 1 September 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

2. The service

We cut the grass you outline on the map, to a tidy finish, together with any extras you select such as edging, strimming or collecting clippings. We work within roughly 12 miles of Bakewell; the booking form will tell you if you are outside that.

3. Your price

Your price is fixed at the moment you book, and is calculated from the lawn you outline, its condition and access as you describe them, the extras you choose and the distance to your property. It will not change afterwards, even if we later change our pricing.

The price depends on you outlining your lawn accurately. If the grass we find is substantially larger than the area you drew, or its condition or access is materially different from what you told us, we may not be able to complete the visit at the quoted price. If that happens we will contact you before doing the work and either agree a revised price with you or cancel the visit at no charge.

Some jobs are held for review rather than booked instantly — very large lawns, heavily overgrown grass, or properties with no direct access. We will contact you to agree a price.

4. Booking and payment

Your booking is confirmed when we send your confirmation email. Payment is due after the visit: we email you a secure payment link once the work is complete. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your card details.

Payment is due within 7 days of the request. A £10 late payment charge applies if payment is not received by then.

5. Access, and when you are not at home

You do not need to be at home. If you will not be there, you must give us access instructions accurate enough for us to reach the grass, including gate locations and codes.

Please make sure that on the day the lawn is clear of toys, furniture, pet waste, hidden obstacles and anything else that could be damaged or cause injury, and that pets are secured. We are not responsible for damage to items concealed in long grass that we could not reasonably have seen.

If we cannot get access when we arrive, we will contact you and rearrange. A £20 wasted-visit charge applies.

6. Weather and rescheduling

If conditions are unsuitable for mowing we will move your visit to the next suitable slot and tell you. There is no charge for a visit we move.

7. Cancelling

Your right to cancel

Because you book online, you have 14 days from your booking to cancel without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If you ask us to carry out the visit inside that 14-day period and we complete it, you lose the right to cancel that visit and must pay for it. If we have started but not finished, you pay a proportionate amount for what was done.

How to cancel or change

Email hello@gardenready.co.uk quoting the booking reference from your confirmation email. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice so the slot can be offered to someone else.

If we cancel

We may cancel a booking if the property is outside our service area, if access is unsafe or impossible, or if the work is materially different from what was described. You will not be charged.

8. If something goes wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our work must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If you are unhappy, tell us within 3 days of the visit and we will return to put it right, or refund you if we cannot.

We are liable for loss or damage we cause by failing to use reasonable care and skill, but not for anything unforeseeable, nor for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

9. Complaints

Email hello@gardenready.co.uk and we will respond within 48 hours. Your legal rights are unaffected.

10. Your information

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
