Let established grass respond naturally
An established lawn may brown above ground during drought while crowns and roots remain alive. It commonly greens again after meaningful rain. Frequent light sprinkling encourages shallow roots and can waste a great deal of mains water.
Longer leaf shades the soil and supports deeper rooting. Stop mowing when there is no active growth rather than polishing a dormant surface.
